Rideau Waterway Land Trust
The Rideau Waterway Land Trust is accepting applications for the vital role of Treasurer on our Board of Directors! Join us in making a real impact in the beautiful Rideau corridor between Kingston and Ottawa — and help us make sure we have enough nuts squirrelled away for winter. As our volunteer Treasurer, you’ll play a crucial role in the financial health of our not-for-profit charitable organization. The current Treasurer will be available for mentorship throughout the transition. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing financial oversight and strategic advice for the short and long-term health of the Land Trust - Ensuring all day-to-day financial transactions are completed accurately and on time — working closely with the Executive Director, bookkeeper, and other board volunteers - Overseeing budgets, planning, board reporting, and coordinating public reporting requirements If you’re passionate about conserving lands and wildlife and have a knack for finance, we’d love to hear from you! The Tetra Society is looking for self motivated individuals with the skills to build custom assistive devices for Kingston residents with a disability. We are looking for engineers, carpenters, handymen, seamstress, anyone with the skills to contribute to a project that will give a Kingston resident with a disability, more independence in their life. There are no minimum hours, we appreciate any time that you can share your skills. You decide on the project you wish to work on, alone or with another volunteer. Tetra covers all the cost associated with the project, including transportation costs to and from the store and the client's residence.
