The Tetra Society of North America, a national non-profit organization, is seeking compassionate volunteers in the Kingston area! About Us: At Tetra, volunteers design and build custom assistive devices that help people with physical disabilities overcome environmental barriers, increase independence, and improve quality of life. Examples include mobility aids, communication supports, and creative adaptive solutions you won’t find in stores. What You’ll Do: - Design and build custom assistive devices for people with disabilities - Collaborate with other volunteers to solve real-world challenges - Use your skills in woodwork, metalwork, sewing, electronics, mechanics, etc. Who we're looking for: - People with abilities in woodwork, metalwork, sewing, electrical or mechanical skills; skilled tradespeople, craftspeople, engineers, technicians - No formal credentials required, if you love making things and helping others, we want to hear from you! - Creative problem-solvers passionate about accessibility and inclusion Flexible Commitment: - No minimum hours required - volunteer as much or as little as you like - Mileage and materials are reimbursed!
