Opportunity Description

The Tetra Society is looking for self motivated individuals with the skills to build custom assistive devices for Kingston residents with a disability. We are looking for engineers, carpenters, handymen, seamstress, anyone with the skills to contribute to a project that will give a Kingston resident with a disability, more independence in their life.

There are no minimum hours, we appreciate any time that you can share your skills. You decide on the project you wish to work on, alone or with another volunteer. Tetra covers all the cost associated with the project, including transportation costs to and from the store and the client's residence.

About the Organization

The Tetra Society matches locally Kingston skilled volunteers, like engineers, carpenters, handyman, seamstress, etc., to local Kingston residents with a disability, in order to design, build and install a custom assistive device for them, that gives them greater independence in their daily life, school, work, play, hobby, sport or music. Tetra has 30 chapters across Canada with a local Kingston chapter serving local residents.
