The Kingston Fall Fair loves to promote our area farmers, but we also love our local craftspeople and artisans! That's why we make free booth space available in between the Bennett and Downey barns. This vendor area offers about 24 10 x 10 booth spaces with a roof overhead on a concrete base, so vendors don't even need to bring a tent. We want this area filled with traditional arts and crafts--no third party retailers, no plastic imported items. Preference is given to vendors who can commit to filling their space Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but we are open to vendors who can only participate one or two days as well. We are looking for someone to coordinate all these vendors. Starting in April, reach out to crafting and artisan community contacts, assess applications, answer questions, map out the booths in advance of our September 17 - 20 event. Then when the fair starts, we need this coordinator to be on-site each morning from 8:30 - 10:30, making sure everyone sets up in the right spot and has everything they need. If you have experience in organizing craft shows, this is a great opportunity!

At over 200 years, the Kingston Fall Fair is one of Kingston's longest running events, and it brings together both rural and urban communities. With an annual audience over 24,000, this event provides an excellent opportunity for businesses to participate and support the local agricultural society while also achieving high visibility. Our Board of Directors has developed a list of sponsorship opportunities and we require someone to promote our sponsorship packages to the local business community.

The Kingston Fall Fair hosts many different horse shows--Western Games, Hunter Show, Heavy Horse Pull, Prince Phillip Games, Mini-Horse Derby and new this year--a Precision Riding Drill Team competition! Each show has its own organizers, but we require people to help make sure entry fees are collected and submitted, get the ribbons and prizes to the ring on time, instruct the work crew when and where to bring any equipment needed, etc. There may be some coordination meetings prior to the fair, but most of the work takes place during the event, so our Horse Show coordinator needs to be available throughout, from Thursday, September 17 to Sunday, Sept. 20. You should have some experience and knowledge about horses and horse events.
