Board of Directors (Volunteer) at Sexual Assault Centre KingstonWe are seeking a candidate to join our Board of Directors!The Sexual Assault Centre Kingston is a feminist organization providing emergency, crisis, short term and long-term supportive counselling, information, referral and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, as well as public education and advocacy about sexual violence. We are actively working to diversify our staff and Board in order to best serve all survivors. The organization and Board are committed to hiring using a feminist, anti-racist, anti-colonial, and anti-oppressing ideology to this and all future hiring. The Tetra Society is looking for self motivated individuals with the skills to build custom assistive devices for Kingston residents with a disability. We are looking for engineers, carpenters, handymen, seamstress, anyone with the skills to contribute to a project that will give a Kingston resident with a disability, more independence in their life. There are no minimum hours, we appreciate any time that you can share your skills. You decide on the project you wish to work on, alone or with another volunteer. Tetra covers all the cost associated with the project, including transportation costs to and from the store and the client's residence.
