Our Club is part of a global network that endeavors to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. We are a non-political and non-religious group that strives to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. We value the uniqueness of every individual regardless of age, size, ability, race, ethnicity, faith, socio-economic status, immigration status, sexual orientation, and gender expression and identity. CK Rotary has a long history of responding to the needs of our community by awarding grants and providing volunteer service to other charitable organizations in the greater Kingston area that share our goals and core values. We welcome individuals who are looking for opportunities to improve our community today while investing in a better future for the generation of tomorrow. We believe that caring for and serving others is the best way to live because it not only changes the lives of others, but also changes our own.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” (Margaret Mead)

ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives.
Every disaster is different and so is every community, so we spend time with those affected to make sure we can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover. See how we work.
Our teams can travel by boat, helicopter or tuk-tuk to get to the families who need your support – whatever it takes to get to the people who have lost their homes to disaster. See where we are currently working.

WHAT WE DO
Caring for communities from coast-to-coast St. John Ambulance Canada has more than 15,000 volunteers and coordinates one of the country’s largest volunteer networks. Our volunteers positively impact the lives of millions of Canadians each year.
While the financial contribution of St. John Ambulance community service volunteers could be calculated in millions of dollars, the contribution to the safety of Canadians is immeasurable. When Canadians need them, our volunteers have an unmatched record of answering the call.
Our Therapy Dog Program brings comfort, joy and companionship to thousands of people throughout Canada each year.
Well-trained and well-equipped, St John Ambulance Medical First Response volunteers are at countless public events to provide basic and advanced medical care when first aid emergencies occur.
We offer a hot meal at lunchtime, five days a week, all year long. The Wearhouse operates offering free household items and clothing to those who visit our facility. We also offer an Emergency Food Pantry to assist our neighbours who are running short and find themselves without enough food.
Start2Finish is a national nonprofit that works with elementary school students in over 70 under-resourced communities across the country.
Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada.
We operate free running and reading clubs once a week at partner elementary schools that focus on physical activity and literacy development. Students work towards completing a 5km run by the end of the program and also participate in reading challenges. These clubs run from October to the end of May.
