Start2Finish is a national nonprofit that works with elementary school students in over 70 under-resourced communities across the country. Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada. We operate free running and reading clubs once a week at partner elementary schools that focus on physical activity and literacy development. Students work towards completing a 5km run by the end of the program and also participate in reading challenges. These clubs run from October to the end of May.

Global Choice is a non-profit, non-governmental, and volunteer-based organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to high school exchange students to help develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.

Best Buddies Canada is a national registered charity that promotes inclusion by creating lasting one-to-one friendships between individuals living with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD and Autism Spectrum Disorder). There are over 383 programs across the country that serve over 11,000 people.

We provide shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. We listen and adapt our support to the needs of each community, working together with those affected by disaster, alongside our supporters and partners. ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives. Every disaster is different and so is every community, so we spend time with those affected to make sure we can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover. See how we work. The Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative (A2A) is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing a critical wildlife corridor connecting Algonquin Park in Ontario and Adirondack Park in New York. We formed from the recognition that conserving this globally significant landscape—one of the last large-scale, intact forest and wetland linkages in Eastern North America—requires a collaborative, grassroots effort. As a backbone organization, we facilitate collaboration, research, and project development among a wide array of local partners, including land trusts, Indigenous groups, community associations, and academic institutions. Our work is driven by a deep understanding of local ecosystems and community needs, ensuring that our conservation efforts are both science-based and locally rooted.  

AI Nexus for Black Innovators (AINBI) is a community-focused nonprofit initiative that helps Black youth, newcomers, and underserved communities develop practical artificial intelligence and digital skills. Through beginner-friendly workshops, educational programs, networking events, and partnerships, AINBI works to reduce the digital divide and create pathways to education, employment, innovation, and leadership in technology.

Secondhand Stories Chicken Sanctuary is a non-profit sanctuary in Perth, ON, dedicated to providing lifelong care for rescued farmed chickens. Our mission is to inspire compassion for chickens through rescue, advocacy, and education.

Virtual CoSA provides online Circles of Support and Accountability to people who have sexually offended and are reintegrating into the community after completing their sentence.

JANEO is a regional division of Junior Achievement based out of Peterborough. We encompass the entire North and East Ontario regions offering our programs and educational opportunities to local schools and businesses. JA-NEO inspires and prepares youth to succeed by providing them with opportunities to learn financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness skills with engaging programs delivered by our network of dedicated volunteers. Our organization runs a number of events and In-Class presentations to help local students develop positive relationships with finances and savings, discover career paths and training opportunities, and prepare to enter the workforce.

Our mission is to inspire young people to pursue further studies and careers in the field of science, technology and engineering. Our vision is of a world which celebrates success in science, technology and engineering and in which young people dream of becoming science and technology heroes. We pursue our mission primarily through running robotics competitions for school-age students at the elementary, junior high school and senior high school level.
