Description de l'opportunité
Have you ever wondered what it takes to host a sailing competition? Well, glad you asked!
CORK owns 16 boats, a mixture of fibreglass and large inflatables that are used as Race Management boats for every event. In addition to our boats, our dedicated equipment team maintains all CORK gear, from simple signal flags to a host of electronics and the latest robotic buoys.
We are looking for volunteers interested in learning more about the behind the scenes team that ensures our events take place each summer! There are many areas to help with - come check us out and meet the team! Boat experience helpful but not necessary.
CORK needs help with:
-assessing boats and equipment for safety
-organizing equipment, supplies and radios
-equipping safety and race management boats with supplies as necessary
-helping to launch and bring back in registered boats
-painting, fixing, organizing boats, equipment and supplies
-building, woodworking, mechanical/electrical
Volunteers meet every Tuesday, and then sign up for regattas throughout the season.
You can see our schedule here: https://www.cork.org/2026-regatta-schedule/
