Outreach St. George's Kingston - Lunch by George
Kingston, Ontario

Outreach St. George’s Kingston (OSGK) was established in 1997 as an independent, non-profit and secular organization to:

- co-ordinate resources to provide food and clothing to the poor, and
- extend financial support to charitable agencies that serve children and/or abused women in the City of Kingston.

The Lunch Program has been its principal activity in recent years, but OSGK has also coordinated the financial support for a refugee family that settled in Kingston in 2003.

Repair Cafe Kingston

Repair Cafe Kingston is a neighbourhood initiative, hosted by the Kingston Unitarian Fellowship, that promotes repair as an alternative to tossing things out. We meet on the second Sunday of the month, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., at 206 Concession Street (Unitarian Place), where our volunteer "fixers" will help you diagnose and repair your broken items.  We have other volunteer opportunities for everything from helping with set-up to community outreach.

Telephone Aid Line Kingston (TALK)

Telephone Aid Line Kingston (TALK) is a confidential, anonymous, non-judgmental, and volunteer-based listening service. We aim to meet the needs of the KFL&A community. We achieve this by creating an empathetic and safe environment on our listening line and during outreach events.

The Birds, Bees, and Butterflies Program

The 3B Program is an inclusive gardening skills based program for Teens and Adults with exceptionalities, living in Kingston Ontario. This program is run through community cooperation and support. Volunteers are crucial to the success of the program as each participant is partnered with a volunteer support. Over the course of the summer, everyone will have the chance to learn new skills and make new friends. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to fulfill high school volunteer hours or for adults looking to connect with community.

The 3B program runs 9am-2:30pm, every Thursday and Friday throughout the summer.

The program is located at the Lakeside Community Garden, 670 Front Rd, Kingston
