Our residents at Normandy Retirement make different size quilts for non profit groups who are in need.

The Limestone Century is an annual event operated by Cycle Kingston. Cycle Kingston, Inc., is a registered Canadian charitable organization and incorporated non-profit whose mandate is to provide safe cycling education and cycling skills training in Kingston, Ontario, so that citizens will gain competence and confidence, and will become empowered to choose cycling as a personal means of transportation. Cycling offers many benefits: health, well-being, environmental, economic, social, and more. The Limestone Century Bicycle Tour requires 3 - 4 months of planning, culminating the the ride on the 2nd Sunday of September each year. Funds raised support Cycle Kingston in their community cycling initiatives, and also supports operation of its social enterprises, Gear Up! Recycled Bicycles and Bicycle Valet Kingston. As a wholly volunteer-driven organization, we rely on volunteer service, support and energy.

The Transplant Advocate Association is a registered charity dedicated to providing support, knowledge and encouragement to those touched by organ and/or tissue transplantation and to inform the public about the need and benefits of organ and tissue donation.  This is accomplished by holding regular group chats and events for our members, providing financial support through fundraising raising and by promoting organ and tissue donation through advertising and at public events throughout our area .

If you, your spouse or family member, a friend or a neighbour, are living with dementia, or are caring for someone living with dementia, WE CAN HELP! We can help to provide community resources and information, individual and family counselling, support groups for those diagnosed and for caregivers, recreational programs, music and art therapy, and so much more.

Our mission is to provide a caring place where people in need can have access to a nutritious meal and find community social support. Martha’s Table is a community center within the social welfare network of the City of Kingston. Martha’s Table provides a unique home where respect, compassion, caring and social interaction can occur in an atmosphere of mutual support, with nutritious meals in comfortable dining facility. Martha’s Table provides opportunities for volunteers to give back, gain skills and make a meaningful contribution to the community. Tetra Society is a non-profit organization of dedicated volunteers who create custom assistive devices for people with disabilities to provide better quality of life and greater independence.

Founded in 1918, the CNIB Foundation is a non-profit organization driven to change what it is to be blind today. We deliver innovative programs and powerful advocacy that empower people impacted by blindness to live their dreams and tear down barriers to inclusion. Our work as a blind foundation is powered by a network of volunteers, donors and partners from coast to coast to coast.

Vision All young people discover and achieve their full potential. Mission To provide safe, supportive spaces and positive mentoring relationships where young people experience new opportunities and develop confidence and skills for life. Site based Mentoring Programs Our SBM program requires a commitment of a minimum of a couple of hours a week, once a week for a minimum of one year from the Match date. Matches connect on site at our 1300 Bath Road Location where we have open gym space, a fitness center and indoor play structure available in the evenings.  We also have a lounge space that can be booked for crafts, board games and other lowkey activities.  Matches are also encouraged to attend our evening Big Bunch program and other potential special events the agency runs.  Site-Based Mentors are required to follow through with their commitments over the summer months. Big Bunch Programs Big bunch is an evening program that takes place weekly. This program is primarily for young people on our waitlist however some matches do attend. Volunteers join our staff team in implementing social emotional wellness programs including but not limited to nutrition, active lifestyle, & arts and crafts. Volunteers support in program implementation as well as providing valuable mentorship to participants.  Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of one night per week. In School Mentoring Our ISM program is for Children who are referred to the program by staff at the school.  Volunteers are required to commit to meeting the young person they are Matched with once a week for an hour for the duration of the school year (typically starting in October-December until April-June).  Matches meet in a separate space set aside by the school and hangout and do puzzles, play board games and do arts and crafts.  Occasionally there may be an active space available.  School Based Group Programs Our staff team goes during school hours and runs 8-week curriculum programs focused on social emotional wellness topics like empathy, confidence, internet safety and more. Volunteers are required to commit to one program for the 8-week duration.

Weller Arms Non-Profit Homes is a small 30 unit apartment building for low-income seniors.  The majority of our tenants come from the city of Kingston's Social Housing Registry. We have a small community volunteer Board of Directors and 2 part time staff.

A Greener Future is an environmental non-profit dedicated to leading the effort in sustaining a clean and healthy environment. By bringing together a community of volunteers and environmental stewards, we facilitate programs that eliminate waste from the environment. As education is at the centre of what we do, we inspire change through a variety of learning opportunities. Our programs raise awareness about plastic pollution in the Great Lakes Region, and detailed data collection sheds a light on the most common items that are found during litter cleanups. Together our impact is wide-reaching, bringing us one step closer to our goal.

ASUS Camps is a non-profit student-run organization run by the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society at Queen's University. We run an English/French summer camp during July and August for kids ages 4-8.
