Welcome to Autism Ontario Autism Ontario (legally incorporated as Autism Society Ontario) is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario. The work we do helps all autistic individuals and families in their communities have access to meaningful supports, information, and connections so they are equitably and seamlessly supported across their life course. Autism Ontario is guided by the board of directors, composed of parents, people on the spectrum, and respected professionals, who provide governance, expertise, and guidance to the organization on a volunteer basis. Autism Ontario aims to support and advocate alongside all autistic individuals across the province, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Now more than ever, we must be active and deliberate in listening to and including all autistic voices across the province. We will continue to expand our reach to neglected segments of our community. We will work to provide spaces of support and advocacy for our Black and Indigenous communities. And we will work together to dismantle the systems of oppression that prevent many autistic individuals from realizing their potential and living meaningful lives. Galilee Centre is a relatively small organization with an operating budget of about $0.75 million, with land, buildings and a scenic waterfront which is the envy of the neighbourhood! We define our catchment area as the “Eastern Ontario Triangle” described by the line of a) Pembroke-Ottawa-Cornwall, b) Cornwall-Brockville Kingston, and c) Kingston-Pembroke, and thereby includes those municipalities such as Perth, Smiths Falls, Carleton Place, Kemptville, Almonte/Mississippi Mills and, of course, Galilee’s hometown of Arnprior among its client areas. Galilee has a 40-year history, and is a not-for-profit corporation with a charitable designation with CRA. We are governed by a small 8-10 member Policy Board which is accountable to the Membership of Galilee Centre and accountable for operational results managed by an Executive Director. As a retreat organization, Galilee Centre offers programs, services and facilities that are open to all, whether of a faith orientation (churched or un-churched), people of no-faith and people of various ethnic, cultural or religious backgrounds, in an open, Christian-oriented manner.

The Seniors Association Kingston Region is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides over 300 programs and services to its members and non members. We are run largely by aging adult volunteers, and have created a strong sense of community and social belonging among seniors in Kingston and the surrounding areas.

The Kingston Fall Fair is hosted by the Kingston & District Agricultural Society for over 200 years, making it one of Kingston's longest running events! The fair takes place September 17 - 20 at the Kingston Memorial Centre, 303 York Street. This event includes livestock and heritage skills competitions, 4-H achievement days, horse shows, the Country Singing Showdown, a huge midway, demolition derbies, monster trucks and more. We appreciate all the help we can get to make this a memorable event for more than 25,000 people who attend each year. We strive to offer a fun and educational experience for the whole family, to help connect urban and rural residents, and increase awareness of agriculture in our region.

Zero Food Waste nonprofit is a Canadian wide nonprofit dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing food waste in our community. Through Queen's students, the zero food waste initiative has spread to Kingston. Our is to create a more resilient and environmentally conscious Kingston by connecting local food businesses, residents, and organizations to minimize waste! We operate through various initiatives, including food recovery programs and community outreach. Our food recovery efforts involve collecting surplus food from local businesses and redistributing it to local charities and food banks in need, ensuring that no food goes to waste. By raising awareness about the environmental impacts of food waste, we aim to inspire a culture of sustainability in Kingston. Join us in our commitment to creating a healthier, more sustainable community, where every bite counts!!

The Tetra Society matches locally Kingston skilled volunteers, like engineers, carpenters, handyman, seamstress, etc., to local Kingston residents with a disability, in order to design, build and install a custom assistive device for them, that gives them greater independence in their daily life, school, work, play, hobby, sport or music. Tetra has 30 chapters across Canada with a local Kingston chapter serving local residents.

A nonprofit, organization, Ongwanada is dedicated to supporting people with developmental disabilities, with a particular focus on those with complex needs and their families so that they can lead full lives, effectively supported in their communities.

We provide shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world’s most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. We listen and adapt our support to the needs of each community, working together with those affected by disaster, alongside our supporters and partners. ShelterBox teams work with disaster-hit families around the world, offering emergency shelter and other essential items to support them in rebuilding their lives. Every disaster is different and so is every community, so we spend time with those affected to make sure we can offer the right support at the right time to help them recover. See how we work.
