We are Bereaved Families of Ontario – Kingston Region. We provide programs, services and resources based on a mutual support model to individuals, families, children, groups and communities. We are the bereaved helping the bereaved learn to live with grief. We can help the healing begin.

Welcome to Autism Ontario Autism Ontario (legally incorporated as Autism Society Ontario) is a charitable organization with a history of over 50 years representing the thousands of people on the autism spectrum and their families across Ontario. Made up of knowledgeable parents, professionals, and autistic self-advocates who can speak to the key issues that impact autistic individuals and their families, Autism Ontario is the province’s leading source of information and referral on autism, and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. There are seven regions across the province of Ontario. The work we do helps all autistic individuals and families in their communities have access to meaningful supports, information, and connections so they are equitably and seamlessly supported across their life course. Autism Ontario is guided by the board of directors, composed of parents, people on the spectrum, and respected professionals, who provide governance, expertise, and guidance to the organization on a volunteer basis. Autism Ontario aims to support and advocate alongside all autistic individuals across the province, regardless of race, ethnicity, income, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Now more than ever, we must be active and deliberate in listening to and including all autistic voices across the province. We will continue to expand our reach to neglected segments of our community. We will work to provide spaces of support and advocacy for our Black and Indigenous communities. And we will work together to dismantle the systems of oppression that prevent many autistic individuals from realizing their potential and living meaningful lives. ASO is a registered charity founded in 2000 by parents of children with Level 1 ASD (including those previously diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome under the DSM-IV) and concerned professionals. ASO is the only agency in Ontario, Canada that is solely devoted to serving those with Level 1 ASD, their families and other interested individuals.

174 bed long term care home that services individuals between the ages of 18 years of age and older. There is a secure home area that caters to residents with dementia as well, there is a mixed population with a variety of ages. Arbour Heights offers many different programs such as intergenerational programs, music programs, physical activity, restorative programs, gardening, arts and creative classes, pet visits, religious programs and much more.  

The Alzheimer's Society of KFL&A provides free education, referral, advocacy, and support to families, friends, caregivers, and persons with dementia, Alzheimer's, and/or memory loss. 

If you, your spouse or family member, a friend or a neighbour, are living with dementia, or are caring for someone living with dementia, WE CAN HELP! We can help to provide community resources and information, individual and family counselling, support groups for those diagnosed and for caregivers, recreational programs, music and art therapy, and so much more.

The Algonquin to Adirondacks Collaborative (A2A) is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing a critical wildlife corridor connecting Algonquin Park in Ontario and Adirondack Park in New York. We formed from the recognition that conserving this globally significant landscape—one of the last large-scale, intact forest and wetland linkages in Eastern North America—requires a collaborative, grassroots effort. As a backbone organization, we facilitate collaboration, research, and project development among a wide array of local partners, including land trusts, Indigenous groups, community associations, and academic institutions. Our work is driven by a deep understanding of local ecosystems and community needs, ensuring that our conservation efforts are both science-based and locally rooted.  

Situated within territories of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat, the Agnes Etherington Art Centre is a curatorially-driven and research-intensive professional art centre that proudly serves a dual mandate as a leading, internationally recognized public art gallery and as an active pedagogical resource at Queen’s University in Kingston. By commissioning, researching, collecting and stewarding works of art, and by exhibiting and interpreting visual culture through an intersectional lens, Agnes creates opportunities for participation and exchange across communities, cultures, histories and geographies. Its collections—numbering over 17,000 works—include cutting-edge contemporary art and fine examples of Canadian historical art, Indigenous art and historicized ancestors, and material culture including the Collection of Canadian Dress and the Lang Collection of African Art. The Bader Collection, comprising over 500 works with a focus on seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish painting, includes one portrait and three exquisite character studies by Rembrandt. Agnes is committed to anti-racism. We work to eradicate institutional biases and develop accountable programs that support and centre the artistic expression and lived experience of Black, Indigenous and People of Colour. Agnes promotes 2SLGBTQIAP+ positive spaces. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

We provide services and support to thousands in our community with a mental health and/or addiction concern. Supports include Counseling and Treatment, Addiction Services, Supported Independent Living, Intensive Case Management, Justice/Court Support Services, Housing Services, Vocational Services and others. Client service sites located in Kingston and Napanee as well as by appointment in Amherstview, Verona, Sharbot Lake, Northbrook and others.

ASUS Camps is a non-profit student-run organization run by the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society at Queen's University. We run an English/French summer camp during July and August for kids ages 4-8.

A charitable organization that lives its values of accountability, collaboration, compassion, integrity, resiliency and respect, ALS Society of Canada works with the ALS community to improve the lives of people affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis through support, advocacy and investment in research for a future without ALS. Fully funded by donors, we were fortunate to benefit from the generosity of Canadians during the Ice Bucket Challenge of 2014, and are now focused on implementing our 2018 to 2023 strategic plan in support of the following long-term impacts: - people affected by ALS receive the best possible standard of care; - more treatments are available to improve quality of life and extend lifespan; and - people are empowered to make informed decisions about ALS. Our world is challenging. The people we serve are dealing with a devastating illness. But in the midst of it, their resiliency and spirit is remarkable and moving. You will be touched by the community and will find a way to naturally and effectively engage.

ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS is a grassroots fundraising initiative that brings together a passion for hockey with an unwavering commitment to supporting the ALS Society of Canada’s (ALS Canada) research program across the country. We aim to create a lasting impact by raising awareness and vital funds to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The concept is simple yet powerful: For every dollar raised, players will take a shot on net – whether in a game, on their own time at home, or playing with friends. Ten dollars equals ten shots, $100 equals 100 shots – you get the idea! Whether you’re cheering from the stands or following the game from the comfort of your home, you can participate in this fun-loving initiative by making a simple donation.
